Charles Culwell

May 19, 1957 ~ Dec. 5, 2008

A memorial  service for Charles Culwell, 51, of Woodward, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at Billings Funeral Home Chapel, Woodward. The Rev. Bill Tindell will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. 

He was born May 19, 1957, in Norman to James Edward and Loretta Jean Simpson Culwell and died Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at Woodward Regional Hospital, Woodward. 

He graduated from Elk City High School. He worked for Halliburton and then a detention center. He was a security guard for then-Arizona Gov. John McCain and most recently was a driver for J&R Hot Oil Units. 

Surviving are his wife, Mona of the home; two sons, Brad Ragan of Laverne  and Jason Culwell of Woodward; one daughter, Shasta Rittenhouse of Woodward; his mother, Loretta Culwell; two sisters, Debbie White of Birmingham, Ala., and Karen Alexander of Murrieta, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
