Peggy J. (Cook) Crutchfield

Funeral arrangements for Peggy J. Crutchfield, 56, of Chickasha, are pending with Ferguson Funeral Home.

Peggy J. Crutchfield was born December 5, 1948. She died Monday, February 7, 2005, in Chickasha.

Peggy J. (Cook) Crutchfield

Memorial services for Peggy J. Crutchfield, 56, of Chickasha, will be held Thursday, February 10, 2005, at 2:00 P.M., in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Hatfield officiating.

Peggy J. Crutchfield was born December 5, 1948, in El Reno, Oklahoma, the daughter of Howard Cook and Frances Burns Cook. She died Monday, February 7, 2005, in Chickasha.

Peggy grew up in El Reno, Oklahoma, attending public schools and graduating from El Reno High School, in 1966.

Peggy married David Crutchfield, on July 20, 1968, in Wichita Falls, Texas. This union brought them their two sons, Jeff and Casey. She was a very supportive mother and personal cheerleader to her two sons. She attended all of their sports events and school activities.

She attended beauty school at Chickasha Beauty School. After graduating from beauty school, she was employed with several of the hair salons in Chickasha, retiring from Hairy's in 2000.

She was a member of the Oklahoma Art Guild, Oklahoma Poetry Society, and Beta Sigma Phi.

She loved art and competing in art festivals

. She was preceded in death by both parents.

She is survived by her two sons: Jeff and Stacy Crutchfield, of Chickasha, and Casey and Tracy Crutchfield, of Moore; one sister, Rhonda Corlee, of Yukon; four grandchildren: Allison, Turner, Kaylee, and Kameron Crutchfield; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Peggy's name, to the USAO Foundation for Art Scholarships at: USAO Foundation, 1727 W. Alabama, Chickasha, OK, 73018-5322.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
