Marjorie Lucille Crozier passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Grace Living Center in Stillwater. She was 91 years old. Marjorie was born on June 8, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan to William James Brian and Opal (Edwards) Crozier.
Marjorie earned her Bachelor's of Arts at the University of Michigan in August of 1952 and her Bachelor's of Science at the University of Michigan in June of 1955. She continued her education at New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico and earned her Master's Degree. Marjorie attended a Doctorate Program at the University of Oklahoma while working in Oklahoma City Schools. She became a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma in October 1986. She began working at the Bi-State Mental Health Foundation, now known as the Edwin Fair Community Mental Health Center, in August 1970 and worked as a children's counselor where she retired in August 2004 after 34 years of service.
Marjorie was a member of the Oklahoma Group Psychotherapy Society and Oklahoma State Psychological Association. She was elected to Psi Chi, an honorary society for psychology students. Marjorie loved to swim and was a Senior Olympic Swimmer. Age was nothing more than a number, as she continued to swim several times per week at the age of 85. She was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and sang in the choir. Marjorie was known as an adventurous lady!
She was preceded in death by her parents. Marjorie is survived by her brother, Bob Crozier and wife, Rose of Farmington Hills, Michigan, nephew, Robert William Crozier of Farmington Hills, Michigan, and her friends, Joy Havens, Sara Hainzinger, and Barbara Hay.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ponca City.
