Lloyd M. Crownover, Jr.

Lloyd M. Crownover, Jr.
August 19, 1931 ~ December 21, 2018

Lloyd went to his eternal home on December 21, 2018 to be with his Lord and Savior. He was a longtime member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.

Lloyd was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma, where he roamed the foothills as a child. This is where he began his love for the outdoors. He had many hunting, hiking and fishing adventures around Tiger Mountain growing up, always having his dog Mickey at his side.

Lloyd attended school in Henryetta and was a proud "Henryetta Hen" on the high school football team. Upon graduating from high school, he attended Central State University.

Halfway through college, military duty called, and Lloyd served his country proudly as a special weapons tester for four years. He returned to Central State University to complete his degree in biology. After graduation, he took a job with UpJohn Pharmaceuticals where he climbed the corporate ladder rather quickly to become a district manager. After 30 years with the company, Lloyd retired, and this is where life really began for him. His love for the outdoors, hunting and fishing filled his golden years. As much as he loved the outdoors, he loved his family even more. Being a husband, father and grandfather made him very proud and he filled each role to perfection.

Lloyd is survived by his son, Lloyd M. Crownover III and his wife Kim; daughter, Susan Diffee and husband Laine; grandchildren, Bethany Davidson and husband Timothy, Lloyd M. Crownover IV, Annabelle Crownover, Gann Diffee, Gray Diffee and wife Tara, Garis Diffee and wife Riki, Gage Diffee and wife Kayla, Gibson Diffee, and Glade Diffee. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Ollie Diffee, Vann Diffee and Phineas Diffee, who all will miss him greatly. Lloyd is also survived by two brothers and their wives, Jim and Jane Crownover of Muskogee and Don and Ann Crownover of Bixby Creek, Lake Eufaula. Lloyd was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Billye Sue Crownover, his father, Lloyd M. Crownover and mother Pearl Boyd.

The family would like to express monumental gratitude to three of the best caregivers ever. These three ladies, Kathy, Bonita, and Diane made Lloyd's life fuller and richer his last year. God put these angels on this earth to take care of others and they have been a God-send.

Viewing will be Wednesday, noon-9 pm, with family present from 6-8 pm at Mercer-Adams. Service will be Thursday, December 27th at 2:00 p.m. at Mercer Adams Chapel, Bethany, Oklahoma.
