Dephena Marie (Johnston) Crownover

Dephena Marie Johnston was born June 5, 1939 to Dan and Dora Johnston in Hollis Oklahoma. She died at the age of 65, in Amarillo Texas on Wednesday, March 16, 2005.

On Dec. 22, 1955, in Hollis she married Ted Crownover. They lived in Dumas from 1959 until 1984 before moving to Amarillo where they lived for 20 years. She was a housewife and a member of the First Baptist Church of Dumas.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Dan and Dora Johnston; two sisters, Girthie Mae Vaughn and Arena Bell Vaughn, and one brother, J. D. Johnston.

She is survived by her husband, Ted, of Amarillo; one son, Rick and Sue Crownover of Hollis; two sisters, Kathryn Meeks of Hollis and Nancy Smallwood of Plainview; her mother-in-law, Burnie Crownover of Hollis; three grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.

Burial was in Dodson Cemetery .
