Memorial service for Jay Dean Crowley, 79, of Jet, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Chapel.

Jay was born to James and Alice (Thurman) Crowley Aug. 1, 1935, in Fairview, and passed away Friday, May 29, 2015, at his home in Jet.

Jay graduated from Pond Creek High School, where he played football, baseball, and track.

On March 21, 1953, he married Jeanette Austbo, and they made their home in Nash. They later moved to Enid, and Jay worked in for Vance AFB fire department.

He also owned and operated Crowley Construction for more than 40 years. Jay later made his home in Jet. He loved to fish, hunt, garden, and tell stories.

Jay is survived by his children, Brad Crowley and wife Rita of Nash, Daphne Schweer of Enid, James Crowley of Medford, Alycia Harding and husband Randy of Alva, and Kypp Crowley and partner Terrell Knight of Nash; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister Alma Clemons of Medford.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette and son Lyle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Nash Fire Department, Make-A-Wish or St. Jude.
