Barbara Kay (Trousdale) Crowder
February 10, 1941 ~ September 18, 2017

Barbara Kay (Trousdale) Crowder, 76, of Stroud, grew her wings and flew to heaven on Sept. 18, 2017. 

Barbara was born on February 10, 1941 in Casper, Wyoming, to Clarence and Tava Trousdale. She was a loving sister to Harvey, Delores and Donna Sue. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1959. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Tava Trousdale, her brother, Harvey Shockley, her sister, Donna Sue Roberts, and her beloved husband of 42 years, Bob Crowder. 

She is survived by her sister, Delores Shockley Bownds, her two sons, Rick (Brenda) Crabtree, Todd (Ana) Crabtree, her grandchildren, Heather Dobbs, Erin Crabtree, Haylie Crabtree and Briana, her six great grandchildren and many more loving relatives and friends. 

Barbara, lovingly referred to as Bobbie, was a long time residents of Stroud, Oklahoma. Successfully co-owning a small business in the community, Crowder Communications, she was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Their beloved dog, Little Dude, a Shih Tzu, has always been a huge part of their life together. After Bob's passing Dude and Barbara became best buddies, never leaving each other's sides. 

Barbara was most importantly a kind and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She was a selfless individual who always put others before herself. Over the years, Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to Bob sing and trips to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Her presence would light up a room wherever she went. She will be sorely missed by all.

A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 26, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Stroud, Oklahoma (Highway 99 and 8th Avenue, Stroud, Oklahoma, 74079). Service are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
