Joe Dean Crotts, age 91, passed away on January 5, 2024. Joe was born in Marlow, Oklahoma to Ted and Mable Crotts on December 2, 1932. He attended and graduated from Marlow Public School. On December 11, 1951, he married the love of his life Mary Jo Ward in Marlow Oklahoma. Joe worked as a diesel mechanic. He was a member of The Duncan Hi-Lifters Automobile Club, He enjoyed motorcycle racing and small engine repair. He attended Elk Avenue Church of Christ. Joe proudly served in the US Army for two years (1952 to 1954.) During the Korean War, He was a cook and baker in the Army stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.
Joe is preceded in Death by his wife, Mary Jo Crotts 2022; Son, Kyle Dean Crotts 2011; Father, Ted Crotts 1982; Mother, Mable Crotts 1978; Sister, Geneva Rodgers 2013; Brother-in-law, Dusty Rodgers 1991; Brother-in-law, Carl Ward 1985; Brother-in-law, Neville Rostant 2007; Brother-in-law Steve James 2009; and Sister-in-law, Wanda Champoux 2018
Left to cherish his memories are his Daughter, Kathy Pritchard in Durant, OK; Son-in-law Gary Pritchard in Durant, OK; Sister-in-law, Barbara Rostant in Duncan, OK; Sister-in-law Paula Hughes and husband Eddie, in North Babylon, New York; Brother-in-law David Ward and wife, Barbara in Duncan, OK; SIL Katherine Scott and husband Adrian in Garland, TX; BIL Charles Ward and wife Karen in Midlothian, TX; SIL Connie James in Duncan, OK; Granddaughter Kristi Rustman and husband Rod in Durant, OK; Granddaughter Corbi Manous and husband Jason in Durant, OK; 4 Great-grandchildren: Hailey and Aaron Hemby, and Jayden and Braxton Manous and numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
The family will host a Celebration of Joe's Life on Saturday, January 13,
2024, at 2:00 PM, at Elk Avenue Church of Christ, 2113 Elk Ave Duncan,
Oklahoma. Cremation services are provided by Brown's Funeral Service of
