Ricky Bruce Cross, Sr. passed from this life on January 7, 2023, at the age of 62, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Ricky was born on May 2, 1960, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, the son of R. B. Cross and Linda Louise (Spears) Cross. Ricky grew up and attended school in Cleveland, graduating with the Class of 1978. He began working as an electrical apprentice at Guinn Electric and later obtained his journeyman's license. On August 21, 1982, Ricky married Lori Ann Maxwell at the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Oklahoma. They established their home in Cleveland, where they raised their three children. In 2006, Ricky and Lori moved to Bethel Acres while employed with Scissortail Energy. In 2015, Ricky accepted a position with Tall Oak Midstream and moved to Chandler, retiring in 2019. Ricky and Lori recently moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma, where they currently reside.

Ricky was a role model for many guys he worked with, and he loved teaching them the trade and going to work every day. Ricky was an active church member for as long as his health allowed him. He taught Sunday School and Children's Church for many years at Terlton Baptist Church. He loved Hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends. Ricky was also a proud father and grandfather that loved seeing his children and grandchildren participating in sports, dance, FFA, and life in general. Ricky turned his life over to his Lord and Savior on April 14, 1996, and was currently a member at the Thunderbird Baptist Church in Norman, Oklahoma.

Survivors are his wife Lori of the home; three children Ricky Cross, Jr and his wife Amy of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Jessica Hays and her husband Cory in Bethel, Oklahoma; Stephenie Jones and her husband Stuart of Perkins, Oklahoma; one sister Patricia Craft and her husband Cris of Williamsburg, Virginia; eight grandchildren Tanner Spencer and wife Memory, Hunter Spencer wife Kelsie, Zachary Cross, Jasper Hays, Allie Hays, Remington Hays, Lilly Jones, Ella Jones; one great-grandson Beckett Spencer and a host of other relatives and friends. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, R. B. and Louise Cross.
