Frank Taylor Cross, age 78, passed away peacefully with his wife Winona of 54 years by his side, on May 6, 2025. Frank was born on January 5, 1947, to Clyde and Mary Cross in Waurika, Oklahoma. He graduated from Ringling High School in 1965. He also earned two bachelor’s degrees from Southeastern Oklahoma State University: one in education and the other in electrical engineering. On August 12, 1971, he married the love of his life Winona Faye (Bennett) Cross.
Frank proudly served in the United States Navy, including a year in Vietnam. He served aboard the USS Eisenhower and the USS Wasp. He worked in the oil industry for many years and ultimately found his calling in drafting and facility engineering. Frank was the VP of facilities of Indian Nation Wholesale until his retirement. He was a member of Kemp Baptist Church. Frank lived his life devoted to his family. Of all of his accomplishments and titles in life, his roles of Husband, Father, and Grandfather were his proudest. In his spare time, you could find him playing a game of solitaire or watching military movies. Frank enjoyed a good debate, especially when it ended in his favor. However, his favorite time was when he spent time with his beautiful granddaughters.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Fulton) Cross, his father, Clyde Cross, and his sister, Wilda Cross.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife Winona Cross of the home. His sons; Erick T. Cross and wife Sarah of Oklahoma City, and Bill Cross and wife Joni of Durant. His grandchildren Rosalyn Cross and Baley Cross, both of Durant. His Brothers Dave Cross and wife Betty of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Joe Cross and wife Nona of Flower Mound, Texas. Frank also leaves behind many beloved extended family members.
