It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Don Crook announce his passing on Monday July 27, 2020. Joe Crook was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend who passed away at the age of 36 years. He was born November 16, 1983 to Leon and Dorene Crook in Edmond, Oklahoma. Heaven gained a special angel that filled our hearts with love and memories we will cherish forever.
Joe married the love of his life, Sarah, in 2015 and made their home in Crescent along with their two daughters, Ava and Hadley. He was a man that adored and took great pride in his “three girls.” He made his career in the elevator trade as an elevator mechanic.
Joe was the type of person that could turn a stranger into a friend in a matter of minutes. He would drop everything in a second to help anyone in need. His passion for caring for others was shown in his brave and heroic work with the Crescent Volunteer Fire Department.
Everyone who knew Joe knew he had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting with family and friends, and passed on that love to his daughters. He was always waiting on that “big one” until his wife stole it from him!
Joe will be forever remembered by his wife Sarah and his precious children Ava and Hadley; by his parents Leon and Dorene Crook; sister and brother in law Amber and Tim Starkey; Grandmother Velma Duncan and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Jack Duncan; grandparents Don and Madene Crook.
Please join us in the celebration of life Saturday, August 1st at 10:30 am at the First Baptist Church in Crescent, Oklahoma.
