Laverne M. (Jones) Crisp
May 23, 1924 ~ September 24, 2013

Laverne M. Crisp, daughter of Nealy Austin and Gertie Bell (Phillips) Jones was born May 23, 1924 in Prairie Grove, AR and departed this life to be with our Lord on September 24, 2013 in West Siloam Springs, OK at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 1 day.

She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She was a great cook, some in the family would even say the "Best in Adair County." She enjoyed gospel music, watching the Christian network, spending time with her family and loved talking on the phone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Lester Crisp, son; Roy Crisp, one infant son; Randy Gene Crisp, grandsons; John Crisp, Daylin Hogshooter, Jeffrey John Marshall, Dakota Crisp, Jeremy and Jason Colston, granddaughters; Trisha Crisp, Jaime Colston, great grandson; Daylin Wayne Hogshooter.

She is survived by a very loving family that includes her children; Carolyn Colston and husband Willie Earl, Donna Fowler and husband Danny all of Watts, OK, Johnny Crisp and wife Jeanne of Westville, OK, Gary Crisp and Wife Virginia of Garfield, AR, Leonard Crisp of Farmington, AR, Joyce Perry and husband Keith of Decatur, AR, Danny Crisp and wife Peggy of Gentry, AR. 29 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Maxine Lossing of Centerton, AR, Shirley London and husband Vernon of Prairie Grove, AR, several other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Funeral services at 2 pm on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Roberts & Hart Chapel with Bro. Jim Beavers officiating. Interment followed at Tharp Cemetery, Fayetteville, AR.
