Vinnie Belle (Owens) Cox Criner

July 18, 1915 ~ August 15, 2005

Vinnie Belle Owens Cox Criner, 90, of Granby, Missouri, died August 15, 2005, at her home. She was born July 18, 1915 in Kosse, Texas, the daughter of James Ezra and Bertha Smiley Owens.

She and her husband moved to the Bentonville area in 1975 from Chickasha, Oklahoma. She retired from Wal-Mart where she was a cashier and clerk. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Bentonville.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Johnnie Frank Cox, her second husband, Bernard M. Criner and her son, John Earl Cox.

She is survived by three daughters, Geraldine Cox Hendon and husband Walter of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ruth Ann Cox McBryde and husband Carl of Granby, Missouri, Aline Faye Cox Green of Clarksville, Tennessee, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 18, 2005 from 1:00 to 8:00 PM at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel of Bentonville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 19, 2005 at 11:00 AM at The First Christian Church of Bentonville with Don Morrow, Minister, officiating. Burial will be in the Pea Ridge Cemetery, Pea Ridge, Arkansas.

Memorials may be made to the Southwest Support, 3601 South 2nd, Neosho, Missouri, 64850.
