Kenneth Wayne Criess
June 3, 1936 ~ January 29, 2022

Kenneth Wayne Criess, 85, beloved Father, Grandfather, and Brother passed away on January 29, 2022.

Wayne was born June 3, 1936 in Stroud, OK to Walter and Alzenia (Rainwater) Criess.

Wayne graduated Stroud High School in 1954. He married Barbara Pomeroy Criess on May 19, 1955 in Stroud, OK and they shared a life together until her passing on March 18, 2014. Wayne and Barbara were very involved with the Stroud Alumni Association. Wayne enjoyed working with his hands especially as a Welder, helping even make some signs for Stroud that can be seen on Main Street. In Wayne's free time he like to bass fish, go antiquing and go to the casino. He also became a "collector" of pets taking in any animal that got dropped or found their way onto his farm. Wayne was an extremely hard worker. His family always came first.

Wayne was preceded in death by wife Barbara Criess; son Alan Criess; daughter Tina Criess Winger; father Walter Criess, mother Alzenia Criess; sister Jean Ridel.

Survivors include daughter E. Colleen Dickey; son-in-law Larry Dickey; grandchildren Brianna Dickey, Samuel and Zachary Dickey, Tiffany Hodge, Kyle Winger and Trevor Winger; brother Ray Criess; brother Dean Criess; brother Leslie Criess and many other extended family and friends.

The Memorial Service honoring his life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in Wayne's name to Stroud Alumni Association.
