Leray Joe Creekmore

November 16, 1928 ~ September 17, 2009

Leray Joe Creekmore, 80, of Choctaw, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009 in Midwest City. He was born November 16, 1928 in Commerce, Texas to Leroy and Tennsie Marie (Covington) Creekmore.

He married Virginia Aline Robertson on February 6, 1950 and they spent 59 wonderful years together.

Leray enlisted in the United States Air Force and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant in August of 1966. He then worked civil service at Ft. Worth, Texas as a Transportation Officer for General Services Administration.

Once a Shriner, Leray was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Midwest City, Scottish Rites, and N.A.R.F.E.

Leray was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Catherine James. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Aline Creekmore; brother, Jim and wife Deanna Creekmore; sisters: Pat Spearman and Vadie and husband Jerry Spearman; sisters-in-law: Lorene Harrison and Melba Robertson along with a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
