The Memorial Service celebrating the life of Teddy Crawford, 80, will be held privately. The service will be live streamed on the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Facebook page any time after 2 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 5, 2020.
Services and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Teddy was born March 18, 1940 to Lester and Ernestine Crawford in Ames, Oklahoma and passed from this life November 19, 2020 in Enid, Oklahoma.
He was raised and educated in Ames graduating from Ames High School with the class of 1958. In 1959 he married Karen Avery in Ames. The couple made their home in Enid. He worked for Champlin Petroleum and later for the Champlin family. He then worked form Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, Texas and New Mexico in Division Order. He began working at Enid High School in 1994 as Head of Grounds retiring in 2016. In his retirement he enjoyed caring for his cats, farming, and thinking of things for his grandkids to do. He loved conversation and called his family daily to make sure he knew what everyone was doing.
He is survived by his wife Karen Crawford, of the home, one daughter Kim and husband Jess Goodman, of Enid; one son Dennis Crawford, of Allen, TX; grandchildren, Jeremy Goodman, Nicholas Crawford, Krystal Wright, Jeffry Crawford, and Jessica Goodman; siblings, Caroleen Clester, Twilla Nusz, Bobby Crawford; sister-in-laws, Diane Avery and Reeta Avery and numerous great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one Son Teddy Crawford Jr., brothers Dean Crawford, Jimmy Crawford, and Billy Crawford; sisters, Hazle Schwind, Edith Ann Moler.

Karen was born to Bill and Bertha Marie Avery in Lucien, Oklahoma and passed from this life December 8, 2020 in Enid, Oklahoma.
Teddy was raised and educated in Ames graduating from Ames High School with the class of 1958. Karen was raised and educated in Lucien. In 1959 the couple married and made their home in Enid. He worked for Champlin Petroleum and later for the Champlin family. He also worked for Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, Texas and New Mexico in Division Order. He began working at Enid High School in 1994 and retired as Head of Grounds in 2016. Karen managed Kenny Shoes and later was part owner of the Shoe Department in Lambert’s. She then worked at United Super Market until she retired to care for her sister-in -law. In Karen’s retirement she enjoyed mowing at the farm, making floral arrangements, and was a master bow maker. She always helped with harvest and could cook for an army. In Teddy’s retirement he enjoyed caring for his cats, farming, and thinking of things for his grandkids to do. He loved conversation and called his family daily to make sure he knew what everyone was doing. The couple never backed away from hard work. They loved their grandkids, spending time with family and the great outdoors.
The couple is survived by one daughter Kim and husband Jess Goodman, of Enid; one son Dennis Crawford, of Allen, TX; grandchildren, Jeremy Goodman, Nicholas Crawford, Krystal Wright, Jeffry Crawford, and Jessica Harold; siblings, Caroleen Clester, Twilla Nusz, Bobby Crawford; sister-in-laws, Diane Avery and Reeta Avery and numerous great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
The couple was preceded in death by one Son Teddy Crawford Jr., Teddy’s siblings, Dean Crawford, Jimmy Crawford, and Billy Crawford, Hazle Schwind, Edith Ann Moler and Karen’s siblings, Billy Joe Avery, Albert Leroy Avery.
