Linda Louise Crawford, 72 year old Vinita resident, went to be with the Lord after a long illness on December 10, 2014. Linda was born in San Bernardino, CA on June 23, 1942 to Claude Orphus and Eunice Montez (Hester) Linderman. On December 5, 1964 in West Plains, MO she was united in marriage to John D. Crawford. They had a loving marriage of 36 years before his passing in 2000. Linda worked as a teacher for 51 years, even earning teacher of the year honors. She was an active member of the Vinita Church of Christ, an avid reader, as well as a passionate quilter, hand stitched over 60 quilts. Linda touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her son Shawn Crawford and wife Tammy of Delaware, OK, daughter Kelly McGuire and husband Terry of Vinita, OK and honorary daughter Kandy Ayers also of Vinita, siblings: Leonard Linderman and wife Karen of West Plains, MO, Lorna Linderman of Manville, NJ, and LeRoy Linderman of Yucaipa, CA, 8 grandchildren: Jacob Crawford and wife Jordee of Niotze, KS, Cody Crawford of Lebanon, MO, Scott McGuire and wife Jozetta of Vinita, OK, Dawn Goins and husband Tracy of Afton, Kevin McGuire and wife Autumn of Verdigris, Darren McGuire, Amanda McGuire, and Jake McGuire all of Vinita, as well as 14 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband John.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Vinita Church of Christ with Minister Bob Hampton officiating. Graveside serivces will be 2 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the Oak Lawn Cemetery in West Plains, MO. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
