Jessica Dawn Crawford

Jessica Dawn Crawford
May 13, 1985 ~ July 26, 2025

Jessica Dawn Crawford, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and poet, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and lyricism that touched everyone who had the joy of knowing her. Born on May 13, 1985, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Jessica was a shining light from the beginning, bringing warmth, mischief, and heart into every room she entered.

She was raised by her parents, Aaron and Sherrie. Jessica graduated from Hominy High School in 2003, where her classmates crowned her "Class Clown." Jessica was a true artist of the soul. Under her poet name Lyric, she wrote verses that captured the quiet beauty of life's simplest moments. Her poetry was more than art it was a mirror of her heart: tender, funny, and deeply human.

Jessica had a childlike joy about her. She loved to color bright and beautiful pages that matched her spirit and she had a soft spot for junk food, especially when shared during long talks and big laughs with those she loved most. To know Jessica was to know light. She was funny, thoughtful, soulful, and kind. Though our hearts are heavy, her memory dances on in every burst of laughter, every late-night snack, and every beautifully written word.

Jessica loved her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sherrie, and her grandmother, Violet. She leaves behind her loving father Aaron (Debbie) Crawford, her godfather Danny, and her cherished sisters: Carmen, Ladana, Winter, Carla, Kennedy, Evie, and Jessica Paige. A host of nieces, nephews, many family and friends also carry her memory forward.

Rest easy, Lyric. You were and always will be our favorite story.

A poem for Auntie Jess:

"I'll leave a light in every laugh, A whisper in the wind, So when you smile and feel me near, That's where I've always been." -

Love Cai Cai
