HENNESSEY, OK — A come-and-go celebration of life for Virginia Craun, 68, will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Virginia was born December 31, 1944, in Fairfax to Bruce and Rose Finney Johnson and died Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid.
She married Melvin Craun in Hennessey March 23, 1963.
Virginia is survived by daughter Marilyn Betchan and husband Tim of Pond Creek; son Buck Craun and wife Sheila of Hennessey; grandchildren Amanda Craun and Aidan Craun; five step-grandchildren Heather, Mitchell, Kyle, Sarah and Megan Betchan; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; brothers Ted Johnson of Douglasville, Georgia, James Johnson and Larry Johnson both of Wichita, Kansas; sister-in-law Barbara Craun; brothers-in-law Larry Craun and wife, Linda, and Pat Moery, all of Hennessey; and lifelong friends Nancy Buckner and Jo Beall.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; parents, Hal and Rose Miller; and son Michael Craun.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Hennessey Food Bank, with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
