Helen Marie (Iler) Cranston
May 4, 1953 ~ May 7, 2019

Helen Marie Cranston, resident of Bartlesville, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at her home. She was 66 years of age. Helen was born May 4, 1953 in Lansing, Michigan to Kenneth Clarence and Lola May (Shaffer) Iler. Her early years were spent in Michigan before the family moved to Toledo, Ohio where she finished her education. Helen later married Clarence Martin Cherry in Toledo where they made their home. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2001. In 2015, Helen moved to Bartlesville to be near her children. Helen loved going to Drag Races and playing games and different card games; but her greatest joy was in keeping her grandchildren.

Those that survive include her children – Debbie Earles and husband Justin of Tulsa, Gunther Alvermann and wife April of Bartlesville, Jerry Cranston and wife Beverly of Monroe, Michigan, Kenneth Huber and wife Amy of Ravena, Ohio and Angel Cranston of Bartlesville. Also surviving are two sisters – Edith Oden and Pam Conley; four brothers – Harry Babcock Bryon Babcock, Jeffrey Iler and Clarence Iler; as well as 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Helen was preceded by her parents and a grandson Joseph.

The family would like to thank Grace Hospice for the love and care they gave Helen. Special thanks to April Alvermann for the care she provided.

Visitation for Helen will be from 10 – 2 Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Davis Family Funeral Home-Walker Brown Chapel, 4201 E. Nowata Rd., Bartlesville, OK 74006, with services being at 2 p.m. with Chaplain Steve Griffith of Grace Hospice officiating. At Helen’s request, cremation will follow the funeral services. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home – Walker Brown Chapel. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
