April 3, 1932 ~ September 16, 2020

A Celebration of Life Service for Martha Crabbs, age 88, of Enid, will be at a later date. Cremations arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Martha Sue Carr was born April 3, 1932, in Kremlin, Okla., to Lucile and Alfred Carr. She liked to say that she was 'almost an April Fool's joke'. She graduated from Blackwell High School in 1950 and attended Phillips University prior to marrying Glenn E. Crabbs in 1952.

She was a long-time member of Christian Church of the Covenant (originally Hite Boulevard Christian Church), filling many roles over the years.

She was a volunteer Camp Fire Girls leader and an early member of the Women's Interracial Group. In her life she worked at Crabbs Transport, Enid News and Stationery, the YWCA's program for troubled teens and the Foster Grandparent program at Adams Elementary. She was also the last owner of Souther Florist. Martha spent her final years in the care of Greenbrier Nursing Home.

She is survived by her children Cynthia Crabbs Heller, Diana Crabbs Smith (Tim) and David G. Crabbs (Sharon); 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister Helen Carr Drennen and great-granddaughter Catherine Heller.

Memorials may be made in Martha's name to the YWCA, Christian Church of the Covenant or FURever Friends Fund with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Condolences may be made online at www.ladusauevans.com .
