Thomas Edward "Eddie" Cox

Coleman, OK- Thomas Edward (Eddie) Cox passed from this life on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas at the age of 76. Eddie was born on Wednesday, June 30, 1948 to Thomas Cox and Rudean (Shipman) Cox in Merced, California.

Eddie grew up in Chowchilla, California and was drafted in the Army after high school. Eddie served 2 years during Vietnam earning the Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietnam Service Medal w/ 3 bronze stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Expert (Rifle and M-60), Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry w/ Palm, and Civil Actions Medal w/Oak Leaf. Eddie was very proud of his service time with the Army.

Eddie constructed concrete pool decks and installed carpet in Palm Springs, California for many years. Eddie married Linda Signoretta in March 1986 in Mesquite, Texas. They came to Durant in 1988 and a year later moved and made their home in Coleman. Eddie last was employed in Quality Control for Sundowner Trailers in Coleman.

Eddie had a passion for hot rod cars: from fixing them up to going to car shows. He won numerous trophies at car shows and took pride in auto detailing. Eddie was very particular with his yard as he enjoyed being on his riding mower manicuring his grass. He also loved his dog, Roxie.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Thomas (Tommy); mother, Rudean; stepmother, Margaret; grandson, Travis Lindsay; and sister, Diana Cavitt.

He is survived by his wife, Linda of Coleman; a daughter, Angela Lindsay and husband, Randy of Chowchilla, California; sons, Mike Fusaro and wife, Paula of Leeton, Missouri, John Fusaro and wife, Carmela of Denton, Texas, and Clint Richmond and wife, Tammy of Dawsonville, Georgia; brothers, Steven Ray Cox and wife, Sandy of Mariposa, California, and Steven Edward Cox and wife, Pamela of Auburndale, Florida; sister, Bridget Wyeth and husband, Mike of Ripon, California; and numerous grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces and nephews.
