ENID � Memorial service for Stephen Cox, 62, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, at First Baptist Church, Cherokee. Burial in Veterans National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. Arrangements by Goodwin Funeral Home, Cherokee.
Stephen was born Nov. 12, 1949, in Cherokee to Richard D. and Wanda Carter Cox and died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, in Fairborn, Ohio.
He was a 1969 graduate of Cherokee High School.
He married Lorraine Johnson March 30, 2012.
Surviving are wife, Lorraine; daughter, Stephanie Purcell of Olathe, Kan.; and sisters, Theda Cox, Sheri Cousins and Margaret Cox, all of Cherokee.
Preceded in death by one sister and a nephew.
