Phillip Cox

April 30, 1945 ~ Oct. 15, 2006

Phillip Cox, 61, a resident of OKC, surrounded by loved ones, left to be with his Heavenly Father Oct. 15, 2006.

He was born April 30, 1945 in Chickasha, OK.

Phil had a very happy, spiritual and fulfilling life. He married the love of his life, Rebecca Galloway of Chickasha on June 16, 1967.

He was drafted in the Army soon after graduating from Okmulgee with a Business Degree to proudly serve his country in Vietnam.

Upon returning from Vietnam, Phil worked for Southwestern Bell and then in 1990 started his own successful company, Phil's Communications.

He was an active member of The Bridge Church in Mustang, and a member of BSF for 13 years in OKC. His passion was his family, church & fishing.

Phil is survived by his wife of 39 loving years, a son, Jeffrey Dean of Edmond, a daughter, Kari Michelle Lambert of Gardner, KS, and four grandchildren: Kristen Lambert, Jake Cox, Colton Cox and Jeffrey Lambert. He was a loving & devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Phil's also survived by his mother, Helen Cox of Chickasha, sisters: Liz Cox of Chickasha and Nancy Meador of Yukon, and a brother, Greg Cox of Chickasha.

Phil was preceded in death by his father, Boyd Cox of Chickasha.

Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday Oct. 18, 2006 at The Bridge Assembly of God Church, in the Crossfire Building in Mustang, OK.

A private burial to follow for immediate family.

Services are under the direction of Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary, 6934 S. Western Ave., OKC, OK.
