Era May (Martin) Cox, 90, of Norman, OK passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014.

May was born on May 23, 1924, in Drumright, Oklahoma to Thomas Richmond Martin and Era Lottie Martin. May had three brothers: Eldon, Nevin, and Jake; one sister, Neta Marlene.

May married Durwood Dustin Cox on August 10th, 1940, in Verden, OK. They were happily married for 62 years. Durwood and May were blessed with two daughters: Shelby Jean and Sandra Kay. May was happy to spend most of her married life as a homemaker. Durwood and May spent as much time as they could with their grandchildren and great grandchildren whom they loved dearly. May will be missed by many.

May is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Farr of Chicago, Illinois; five grandchildren: Eric Nethercutt and his wife Jamie of Gilbert, Arizona, Leslie Ehleiter and her husband Ken of Bentonville, Arkansas, David Evans and his wife Jill of Loveland, Ohio, Suzy Talley and her husband Tracey of Washington, Oklahoma and Richie Lynch; thirteen great grandchildren: Jon Eric Nethercutt II, Kyla Nethercutt, Dillon Nethercutt, Amanda Staib, Sarah Chandler, Jenny Chandler, Anna Ehleiter, Miina Ehleiter, Kaitlin Evans, Will Evans, Sydney Talley, Madison Talley, and Trevor Talley; three great great grandchildren: Anthony Nethercutt, Cooper Staib , and Mason Chandler; one sister, Neta Marlene Knight and many more nieces, nephews, and friends.

May is preceded in death by her husband Durwood Cox, her daughter Sandy Evans, son in law, Bill Evans and grandson Kurt Nethercutt, as well as her parents and brothers.
