Elva Luetta "Lue" (Bergen) Cox

Elva (Lue) Luetta Cox, 82, passed away on January 20, 2023 in Oklahoma City, OK. Lue was born May 13, 1940 in Hinton, OK to Ivan and Allie Bergen and she married the love of her life, Leroy (Lee) Cox on March 10, 1967.

Lue lived a happy, fun-filled life. She worked as a loan officer for several years, and after that, the business adventures began. She and Lee owned a convenience store at Lake Texoma along with his parents, Jim and Nancy Cox. The following years they owned a construction company, and then later a bar. For a while, Lee worked along-side his brothers, Freddy and Benny, and brother-in-law, Joe, for several years and across several states, where Lue and her sisters-in-law would travel along and enjoy the trips and each other’s company. Her life was filled with love and laughter, and her family meant the world to her. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Lee; daughter, Cathy Willenbrink and husband Jim; step-sons Richard Cox and wife Julie, Ronnie Cox and wife Vicky; brother Edgar Bergen and wife Chris; grandchildren Rayna Willenbrink Teicheira and husband Aaron, Brock Willenbrink, Baylee Willenbrink, Ky Cox Kelly and husband Kyle, Whitney Cox Farhang and husband Eric, Connor Cox and wife Melanie, Brennen Cox and wife Katie; great grandchildren (Ky’s children) Alexa Troutman, Dylan Troutman, Kylee Kelly, and (Connor’s child) Murray Cox.

Lue is preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Allie Bergen; brother Homer Bergen; sister Estella McCannon; sister-in-law Virginia Bergen; brother-in-law Bill McCannon; niece Donna Bergen, and many other special Cox family members.
