Donald Don Cox, 59, of Big Spring, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2001, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2001, at Glenrest Cemetery with Rev. R.T. Havener, pastor of First Assembly of Go Church, Big Spring.
Donald was born on March 10, 1942, in Cement. He married Lucille Frye on August 13, 1981, in Chickasha. He attended the Church of God, and in 1984, they moved to Big Lake from Chickasha. In June of 2000 they moved to Big Spring.
Donald had worked in various different oil field positions, and he was currently employed at Basic Energy as a dispatcher at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Cox, of Big Spring; 2 sons: Richard Wright and his wife, Sissy, of Odessa, Texas, and Gregory Wright and his wife, Rhonda, of Chickasha; 1 daughter-in-law, Jessica Wright of Andrews; 4 daughters: Nicola Wright and her husband, Peewee, of Big Lake, Misty Reed of Big Spring, Skeeter Cox and LaDonna Cox, both of Oklahoma; his mother, Beatrice Hayes of Chickasha; 11 brothers and sisters and 13 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by one son, Thomas R. Wright, on October 1, 1998.
