Jerry Eugene Covey, age 74, of Bartlesville, died Friday morning March 21, 2014 at 10:35 A.M.
No Services will be held. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Jerry was born May 4, 1939 at Nowata Oklahoma, to Harold Lawton and Margaret (Higgins) Covey. He joined the Army in 1957, and retired in December of 1978. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company until 1996, and had served as a Bartlesville Police Reserve Officer from 1979 until 1992.
Jerry is survived by his wife Lourdes Covey of the home, by three daughters, Donna Coast of Bartlesville, Debra Henck and husband Karl of Katy, Texas and Cathy Thomson and husband Ken of West Dundee, Illinois, by a brother Joe Covey and wife Nancy of Newcastle, Oklahoma, and a sister Judy Livingston and husband David of Lefors, Texas, His grandchildren; Nicole Coast, Amanda Thomson Barlow and husband Kevin, Austin Henck, Ryan Henck, and Jonathan Henck, and a great grandson Carter Coast.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Margaret Covey, step mother Betty Jo Covey, a brother Jimmy Covey, and a son-in-law; James Allen Coast, and a grandson; Duane Allen Coast.
