Memorial services for Hilda Mozell (McAusland) Counterman, a longtime Coalgate resident, will be held Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 10:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Rev. Bill Weathers and Rev. Bob Trail officiating.
Mrs. Counterman was born March 3, 1927 in Blackwell, OK to James and Hester(Wolf) McAusland and passed away November 8, 2010 in Coalgate at the age of 83. She attended Cottonwood School, married Walter Roland Counterman, was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, Jane Tibbs, Walter Counterman, Jr. and wife Donna, Bertha McGee and husband David, Donald C. Counterman, Barbara Bradford, Robert Allen Counterman and Patricia Stork; nineteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; four sisters, Mary Layton and husband Bob, Betty Sanford, Louise Boyzak and Patricia Townsend; along with numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Counterman in 1992; parents; sister, Mary Alice McAusland; brothers, Roy McAusland, Jr., James McAusland and Floyd McAusland.
