Connie Sue (Carey) Cotter

August 30, 1941 ~ March 4, 2005

Connie Sue Carey Cotter, 63, of Mountain View, Arkansas died of stomach cancer on March 4, 2005 in Mountain View.

Born August 30, 1941, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, Connie attended Chickasha Public Schools and Oklahoma College for Women. She was a homemaker and a dental assistant. Connie was a Sunday school teacher at the First Baptist Church of Mountain View, and was the church secretary during the 1980s.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Joe Cotter; three daughters, Helen Turner and husband Lonnie, Jeanett Cotter, and Kathy Ward White and husband Robert, all of Mountain View; a brother, Max Carey of Potomac, Maryland; a sister, Linda McCool and husband David of Corpus Christi, Texas; and three grandchildren, Matthew Turner, Rachael Turner and Jeremy Ward.

Connie enjoyed activities with her grandchildren and interior decorating. She also liked to travel and explore new places with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J. L. and Thelma Carey, her paternal grandparents, E. B. Carey and Sarah Walters Carey, and her maternal grandparents, Luther McDonald and Hattie Brewer McDonald.

The funeral was Monday, March 7, at First Baptist Church in Mountain View, with Joel Breeding and Ray Brown officiating. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery, under the direction of Roller Crouch Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Doug Vance, Fred Ward, Danny Simmons, Terry Ward, Ronnie Risner, and Ulyess Woody. Honorary pallbearers were Ray Stinnett, Brad Breeding and Dr. James Zini.
