Charmaine Beatriz "Binkie" (Irwin) Costalupes

November 14, 1928 ~ August 2, 2016

Charmaine "Binkie" Beatriz Costalupes, daughter of John Robert and Beatrice Louise (Shields) Irwin, was born November 14, 1928 in Alameda, Calif., and departed this life on August 2, 2016 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 18 days.

She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She loved reading –especially cookbooks. She loved to cook and was good at it. She and her husband owned and operated a cheese factory in Riverbank, Calif. called Riverbank Cheese Company. She deeply enjoyed her retirement here in Oklahoma and loved her little home on Zion Road. One of her favorite things was working alongside her daughter at the quilt shop. She always said it was a great job and she couldn't wait to go back every day. Her life will be missed deeply but the memoires of her will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.

Charmaine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Kenneth Costalupes, and son-in-law, Phil Mahaney.

She is survived by a very loving family that includes two daughters, Lindy Mahaney and Leslie Costalupes both of Stilwell, two grandchildren, Tamsen Valverde-Donaldson and husband Phillip Donaldson of Ceres, Calif., and LeeAnn Mahaney-Burgess of Stilwell. Four great-grandchildren; Derek Valverde and Lauren Segmiller of Ceres, Calif., Shelby Burgess and Raylee Burgess both of Stilwell, two great-great- grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Celebration of life services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2016 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Front Porch Fabrics in Stilwell. Arrangements were under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
