Jeffrey “Jeff” Lee Cossidente, 68, passed away on Saturday,
March 15, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Jeff was born on February 26, 1957, in Hazel Crest, Illinois, to John Guy and Margaret Eleanor (Robben) Cossidente. He attended Hillcrest High School, graduating in 1975. He later attended Eastern Illinois University. Jeff married Carol Simmons on May 11, 1985, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Hazel Crest.
Jeff worked for the Hazel Crest Public Works for 27 years. He retired from Hazel Crest Public Works as an assistant director. He later worked for Tinley Park Public Works for 13 years, where he retired as a superintendent. When Jeff wasn’t working, he enjoyed boating on the lake, especially on Lake of the Ozarks, attending NASCAR races, bowling and socializing with friends and family. Jeff loved his family and never missed a sporting event of his children and grandchildren. In 2019, he moved to Chandler, Oklahoma to be closer to his family. Jeff was a hard worker and very determined. He had a big, bold personality and was the biggest Shania Twain fan ever.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Cossidente.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 40 years, Carol Cossidente; daughters, Nina Frazier and husband Johnathon Frazier, Sammi Cossidente, and a bonus daughter, Jenna Vance; brothers, Dennis Cossidente and wife, Cindy Cossidente, and John Cossidente; sister-in-law Jana Simmons (Bruce); granddaughters, Peyton Frazier and Kennadi Frazier; nieces and nephews, Sarah (Kyle) Wayland, Lauren (Colton) Wegrzyn, Tony Cossidente, Nikki Cossidente, Lindsay (Brian) Hutchins, Adrian Arredondo, Olivia Arredondo, and Reuben Arredondo; several great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
