Cherolyn “Chery” (Shaw) Cortez

March 14, 1961 ~ November 27, 2021

Memorial service for Cherolyn “Chery” (Shaw) Cortez, 60 will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 4, 2021, at First Baptist Church officiated by Jimmy Berkenbile. Cremation arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Chery was born in Altus on March 14, 1961, to Donald and Vera McDowell Shaw and died Saturday, November 27, 2021, in Purcell.

She is survived by one daughter Guadalupe Gamez of Oklahoma City, one son Pedro Marin and wife Toni of Hennessey; seven grandchildren Sergio, Angel, Juan, Felix, Marissa, C’Anna, Tyce; two great-grandchildren Stormy and Anthony; two brothers Donnie Shaw and wife Patty, Richard Shaw, all of Hennessey; one sister Shawna Shaw of Oklahoma City; her husband Raul Calderilla, four step-children George Calderilla, Olga Calderilla, David Calderilla, Tavo Calderilla, and many step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Debbie.
