Edward Thomas Corrigan, a longtime Cushing resident passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at the age of 67.
Edward was born on November 17, 1946 to the late Edward and Lois Benham Corrigan.
He grew up in Cleveland Ohio, and attended Larrain High School, graduating in 1964. In school Edward loved to wrestle and put his heart was into boxing. Edward loved boxing so much that he boxed with a broken hand. He went on to box in the golden glove fights.
Edward and Janice met in 1975 and were married on September 22, 1977 in Santa Barbara, California.
He loved spending time outdoors, and fishing and camping at his favorite spot, Lake Lopez. He took his family fishing and camping to many different lakes. He also enjoyed spending time watching the WWE and took time to be his children's Little League coach. Edward took his family to San Diego, California to see his mother every year.
Edward was a hard worker and a good provider to his family and went to work even when he did not feel good. Some would say that he was a good judge of character, and was very business smart.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and grandpa and grandma Benham.
Edward is survived by his wife Janice; two sons, Robert Rawlinson and Ryan Corrigan; one daughter, Christine Thornhill and husband Roy; one brother, David Corrigan and wife Cheryl; two sisters, Lynn Rouse and husband Craig; Valerie Gains, and Patty Corrigan; four grandchildren, Kalia Ostrander, Steven Olson and wife Whitney; Kinnidy Olson, Dillion Olson; three great grandchildren Kaiden, Corey, Kyle, and many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
