Shawnee resident Carl Corrick, 74, loved the Lord and went with Angels to Heaven on October 15, 2021, after a brief illness.
Carl's celebration of life will be announced.
Carl was born May 15, 1947 in Shawnee to David and Ruby Corrick.
He was a lifetime scholar, attending St. Gregory, classes at OCU, OSU, OU, and was graduated from Southwestern Christian University.
Best known for his loving heart, giving time to anyone needing a friend, moving day help, lawn mowing, driving neighbors to appointments, shoveling snow for elderly friends, and assisting cars on the impassable neighborhood hill after blizzards.
Carl had a brilliant mind, a gift for research, consulting, and recommending projects to improve lives with a 'Hands-Up to Self-Sufficiency' philosophy.
His kind heart and gentle spirit touched the lives of millions as a DJ with KOMA, KEBC, KGFF, and WKY. His amazing "radio and singing voice" opened entertainment doors for commercials, stage and screen, interviews, and recorded programs throughout his life.
Carl was proudly a long-time member of the Masonic Lodge.
Carl loved, and was loved by 4 special women in his life; his mother Ruby, Shirley, Suzi, and Linda
Requested in lieu of flowers, and all memorials for Carl, be generously donated to his favorite 501c3 Legacy of Prosperity Foundation.
Carl loved being the Foundation President, Projects Facilitator, and Co-Creator.
He is survived by his Aunt Cassie Hensley, Sister-in-law: Christine Sluder, and many family members and friends.
Carl will be missed by everyone who really knew him.
