Sergeant First Class Jack Richard Cornell Jr., 44, died peacefully, surrounded by his wife and children on Friday, December 13, 2013 at his home in Lexington, Oklahoma, following a battle with cancer. He was born April 8, 1969, to Donna Lee Cornell and Jack Richard Cornell Sr. He was raised in the San Francisco Bay area and graduated from Burlingame High School in 1987.
On June 10, 1996, he married the love of his life, Angel Cornell (Jameson). He was blessed to have three beautiful children he adored, Christopher, Jillian, and Thomas. He followed a family military legacy by enlisting into the U.S. Army and then into the U.S. Army Reserves. While in the Army Reserves he was a member of the 3/378th Infantry Regiment, 2202nd Mobilization Support Battalion, and 370th Chemical Company, Detachment 2. Simultaneously, he served as the Unit Administrator to the 370th Chemical Company Detachment 2, located in Norman, Oklahoma for the past 10 years. Jack was dedicated to his country and his family he loved being a soldier, a father and husband, and truly was one-of-a-kind. He was deeply loved by all who knew him. He moved to Lexington, OK in 1999 and for the past year he has attended the First Baptist Church in Lexington. His favorite hobby was woodworking. He enjoyed doing all kinds of carpentry and remodel work. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by: Wife: Morning Star Cornell of the home, Three children: Christopher Cornell attending basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas, Jillian Cornell of Lexington, Thomas Cornell of Lexington, His parents: Jack and Donna Cornell of Mountain View, AR, One sister: Jeanette Bland and husband Joe of Virginia Beach, VA, Mother-in-law: Earnestine Jameson of Ada, OK, One nephew: Henry Bland of Virginia Beach, VA, And a very large extended family including many cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Military Family and a host of friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Lexington. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
