Joseph Wilson Cornelius

Dec. 16, 1925 ~ Jan. 27, 2007

Joseph Wilson Cornelius was born December 16, 1925 in Schulter, Oklahoma and he left this life after a brief illness January 27, 2007.

He was a veteran of World War II serving on the USS Orion. After serving his country, he married Betty Jo and had three children. He was a professional steel guitar player his entrie life playing Country and Western music. He was a member of Plumber's and Steamfitter's Union Local #460 and he retired after 28 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo in 1964, In 1968 he married Diana Lynn and shared his life with her until 1979. In his later years he traveled the United States in his motor home with his beloved dog, Della.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Cal Stafford;son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Debora Cornelius; son, Jody Dean Cornelius; grandchildren Shawnna Marie Silverhand, Bruce Dean Cornelius, Nicole Amber Cornelius, Joshua Cornelius, Joseph Lincoln Cornelius and Zachariah Fred Causey; 3 gret-grandchildren; brother, Bert; sister, Marie as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
