Dalton Ray "Cajun" Cormier
February 20, 1936 ~ April 25, 2008

Dalton Ray "Cajun" Cormier passed away April 25, 2008 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years, 2 months and 5 days. He was born February 20, 1936 in Jennings, Louisiana to Leonce and Zelma (Istre) Cormier. He married Nora Henning on December 9, 2000 in Arkansas.

Dalton was born and raised in Louisiana and worked for an Off Shore Drilling Company for 30 years, retiring in 1987. He then moved to Guthrie, Oklahoma in 1990 and then moved to Crescent in 1997. He also served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and loved playing music and fishing.

Survivors include, his wife, Nora of the home; three daughters, Donna Cormier Parsons of Sulphur, Louisiana, Darlene Cormier Leger of Lake Arthur, Louisiana and Carla Cormier Chaisson of Welsh, Louisiana; two sons, Ricky Cormier of Jennings, Louisiana and Brian Cormier of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sisters, Bessie Hebert and Juanita Fontenot; ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Brenda Cormier; two brothers, Curtis and Lennis Cormier and by four sisters, Adeline Boudreaux, Eudia Godeaux, Eumaia Guidry and Aline Simon.

Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 28, 2008 at the Abernathy Aaron Chapel with Rev. Bryan Haynes officiating. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at abernathyaaron.com.
