Funeral services for Linnie Copeland, 84, of Chickasha, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at Calvary Baptist Church. Brother D. Jay Lewis, pastor, will officiate.
Linnie Copeland was born November 4, 1918, in Ozark, Ark., and died on Sunday, June 8, 2003, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha.
An Ozark native and housewife, Copeland was also a longtime resident of Borger, Texas. She moved to Chickasha three years ago.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Barber Shop Belles, Adlante Club, Eastern Star Chapter 811, Square Dance Club, was the former president of the Borger Music Club and 20th Century Club, and was a Sunday School teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Copeland, on June 8, 1991, and a granddaughter, Jana Beth Steagall, on August 30, 1981.
Survivors include: one daughter, Linda Steagall and husband, Barry, of Chickasha; one grandson, David Bryan Steagall, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and one granddaughter, Becky Wren, of Moore, Okla.
Burial will be held in Westlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Brown Funeral Directors, of Borger.
