Tony Ray Cooper
October 9, 1965 ~ January 18, 2025

Tony Ray Cooper, age 59, passed on to his heavenly home on January 18, 2025, at Windridge Nursing & Rehab Center in Miami, Oklahoma.

Tony was born on October 9, 1965, in Miami, OK to Jackie Lee Cooper and Eva (Coffey) Cooper of Southwest City, MO.

Tony graduated from McDonald County School for the handicapped. He enjoyed the Special Olympics, bowling and swimming in Honey creek and Grand Lake. He lived and worked in Jay, OK under the guidance of Delaware County Friendship Homes, now known as Home of Hope, Inc., for 25 years. He enjoyed working with friends and especially the weekly paycheck. Going to church camp, family reunions and his birthday parties were the highlight of every year.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Jackie Lee Cooper (2011), and brother, Jeremy Lee Cooper (1977), Grandparents, Ray and Ethel Cooper, and Don and Verta Coffey.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother Eva Schoonover and step-Dad, Jim Schoonover of Coffeyville, KS, one sister Suzy (Cooper) Buchite and husband Bob of Decatur, AR, step-sister Michelle (Schoonover) Shipley and husband Mike of Topeka, KS, Step-brother David Schoonover and wife Brooke of Tampa, FL, nephew Brandon Benge and wife Julie of Madison, NJ, niece Autumn (Buchite) Bryant and spouse Brandie of Sulphur Springs, AR, 3 great nieces, 1 great nephew, many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Decatur Assembly of God Church, 674 N. Main St., Decatur, AR 72722. Tony will be laid to rest in the Southwest City Cemetery, in Southwest City, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Home of Home, Inc. 226 W Dwain Willis Ave., Vinita, OK 74301 or Good Shepherd Hospice, 1120 NEO Loop, Grove, OK 74344

Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK.
