Nolan Lloyd Cooper

December 13, 1940 ~ August 31, 2011

No services are scheduled at this time for Nolan Lloyd Cooper, 70, of Ardmore and owner of Aerotech in Marietta.

Born December 13, 1940, in Dunning, Nebraska, the son of Lloyd And Alverta Cooper, he died Wednesday, August 31, 2011.

Mr. Cooper attended schools in Dunning, Anselmo, Minatare and Sargent, all in Nebraska and graduated high school in Central City, Nebraska.

After high school he joined the Marine Corps and served for over six years. He then worked for Lear Siegler Corporation for several years in Vietnam, Britain, Germany, and finally back in the United States in Oklahoma. He then worked in the aircraft industry in Texas, California and Oklahoma. In the 1990’s he established Aerotech, which thrived until his death.

After earlier marriages that ended in divorce, he married Vicky Harris, who was his close partner in life and in business until her death in 2009.

Cooper was also preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, Alverta, of Lincoln, Nebraska; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Lorette of Pelham, New York; several step-children and step-grandchildren, as well as many cousins, and his beloved dogs, Charlie and Peewee.

Memorials may be made to the Ardmore Animal Shelter.
