Dickie Lynn Cooper, 72, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away July 22, 2022.
Dick was born on April 12, 1950, in Granby, MO, to Paul and Marjorie Cooper. He graduated from High School in Ames, Oklahoma, in 1968 and then received his Bachelor's of Science in Agriculture from Oklahoma State University in 1972.
He married Vicki Reinhart on June 30, 1972, in Jet, Oklahoma. Except for the first four years when he taught vocational agriculture in Jet, OK, and Howard, KS, his entire career was devoted to working for cooperatives: Farmland Industries, Triangle Insurance and PCCA. Dick retired from Plains Cotton Cooperate Association in 2015 where he served as the Director of Business Development for Kansas and NW Oklahoma.
In March of 2018, Dick was inducted into the Kansas Cooperative Hall of Fame. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he was a teacher of the Bereans Community Group. Dick was most passionate about pouring into the lives of his grandchildren, and watching each of their activities brought him great joy.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki; his son, Joey Cooper and wife Lindsay of Lubbock, TX; his sisters, Louise Maynard and husband Ron of Mankato, MN, Janice Stotts and husband John of McLoud, OK; brother, Eddie Cooper and wife Carol of Drummond, OK; grandson, Miles Cooper; granddaughter, Ellis Cooper; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marjorie Cooper, and brother, Danny Cooper.

A celebration of Dick's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022, in Calvary Baptist Church, with Dr. Robin Cowin and Dr. Richard Rush officiating. In lieu of a visitation, there will be a reception in the Mall area after the service for the family to greet guests.
