Billy Wayne "Bud" Cooper Jr.
August 28, 1984 ~ July 27, 2025

Billy Wayne “Bud” Cooper Jr. 40, of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, July 27th, 2025 at Lake Texoma in Marshall County.

Bud grew up and attended school in Durant and is a life-long resident of the area. Bud worked for Eagle Suspension for 13 years before being employed by the Choctaw Casino in Food and Beverage. Bud enjoyed riding motorcycles, woodworking, fishing, and riding bulls when he was younger. He had a passion for helping people even if meant giving the shirt off his back. Bud was very family oriented and loved being with family. He truly loved his Momma and his nieces and nephews.

Bud was preceded in death by his dad, Billy Cooper in February 2025; and his grandparents James and Shirley Wilkins, and Sonny Cooper.

He is survived by his mom, Rebecca Pierce of Durant; his granny, Ann Cooper of Durant; a sister, Tammy Robinson and husband Nick of Durant; his brother, Josh Pierce and wife Kristin of Calera; nephews, Beau and Jace Pierce of Calera, and niece, Abigayle Robinson; a special cousin, Matt Cooper; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of “Bud’s” life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 1st, at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Nick Robinson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Pierce, Larry Cooper, Billy Dean Cooper, Terry Cooper, Michael Ashley, Lance Hampton, and Bo Bishop.
