Darla Jean (Bullock) Coonrod

Darla Jean (Bullock) Coonrod
July 22, 1962 ~ March 5, 2021

Darla Jean Coonrod was born Darla Jean Bullock to Darryl and Jeanie Bullock of El Reno, Oklahoma, at the Ft. Sill Army hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma on July 22nd, 1962, while her Dad and Mom were stationed there during the Cuban Missile crisis. In later life Darla would say that being born on an Army base made her an Army brat. Dear Darla went from this life to meet her beloved Jesus on March 5th, 2021.

Darla was a gifted gardener, and was never happier than when sharing the bounty of her hands' labors of love with others. She loved the Lord and would thank Him out loud as she tended her flowers and plants. She'd say that she longed to meet Him to personally thank Him for making her gardens grow. Her theme of life was love for her family, and for all God's creation, yet it was the animals, most especially, her heart favored most.

Surviving family include Darla's husband Mike Coonrod of the home, along with Darla's parents Darryl and Jeanie of Perry, OK.; brother Bill Bullock and wife Teresa of Perry; sister Lynn Watts (Bullock) of El Reno, OK.; brother Cliff Bullock and wife Jane of Perry; Uncle Charles and Aunt Jean Bullock of Coweta, OK.; Aunt Jackie Murphy of Union City, OK.; Great Aunts Mabel and Willis; Aunts Cindy and Sheryl, and Uncle Johnny; many cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a couple more great nieces/nephews on the way we are told!

A private family and friends celebration date and time will be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home of Perry, Oklahoma. 1408 N. 7th St., Perry, OK 73077.

The family and Trout Funeral Home invite you to send messages of sympathy and condolence, and to share memories of Darla, to www.troutperry.com.
