William Roy "Bill" Cook
January 7, 1953 ~ September 7, 2017 (age 64)

Cook, William "Bill" Roy, 64, died in Norman, OK on Thursday, September 7, 2017. 

Bill and his twin brother were born on January 7, 1953, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Louis Starr Cook and Lillian Joyce (Schenk) Wasburn.

After attending Norman High and San Marcos Academy, he served as a combat engineer in the US Army. He was stationed in Germany, and received the National Defense Service Medal.

An avid reader, he also enjoyed bowling and loved coaching youth bowlers for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Johnson.

Bill is survived by his son, Bryan Cook and wife Kirsten of Dallas, TX; his daughter Erin Dum and husband Chris of Norman, OK; twin brother Troy Cook of Hays, KS; two sisters Starr Cook and Julie Kranker, both of Florida; granddaughter Cadence Dum of Norman, OK; grandson Lucas Dum of Norman, OK; grandson Finn Cook of Dallas, TX; nephews Kerstan Kranker, Kyle Kranker and Thomas Cook; nieces Karis Kranker and Crystal Cook. 

Memorial services will be 11:00 am Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook St., Norman, OK.
