Levi Seth Cook

Levi Seth Cook
June 16, 1990 ~ December 1, 2015

Levi Seth Cook, son of Jack and Millie (Barnes) Cook was born June 16, 1990 in Siloam Springs, AR. On December 1, 2015, at the young age of 25 1/2 years old, Levi departed this life in the same way he lived it, with drumsticks in hand, music in his ears, and surrounded by friends, family, love, and laughter.

Levi spent his short life living by his own rules, pursuing his passions, and chasing the wind. He was a gentle giant and a constant source of love, laughter, comfort, and protection for his family and friends. His laugh was enough to brighten even the darkest of days. Levi was selfless in nature and always quick to give a calming hug, provide a shoulder to cry on, or lend a helping hand wherever and whenever they were needed. He loved hunting with his dad and brothers, fishing with as many people as could fit on the boat, riding his Harley, and music; he had it in his soul from the time he could stand well enough to dance. By the age of 13, Levi was drumming for bands and playing gigs; by the age of 23 had recorded an album and released a music video.  He went out like a legend - way too young, still in his prime, loved by nearly everyone who had the good fortune of meeting him, and with more questions than answers regarding his demise. He may not have gotten his picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone, but he will forever be adored and missed by all those lucky enough to have known him.

He was preceded in death by his loving father, Jack Cook; grandma, Marilyn Barnes; grandpa, Charlie Cook; uncle, "Pete" Cook; and grandpa "Pop", Bill Barnes.

Levi is survived by a large, loving family that includes his mother, Millie Cook of Westville, OK; siblings, Joshua Cook and wife Jennifer James, Rachel Black and husband Gary, and Piper Cook, all of Westville, OK, Hannah Buso and husband Jay, of Barling, AR, and Valerie Cook Fletcher and husband Jeremy, of Folsom, CA; Granny Eula Cook, of Fayetteville, AR, and adoring nieces and nephews: Jana, Jesse, Jamie, Tyler, Corban, Jasmine, Annalee, Bijou, Maecy, Camdyn, and great-nephew James. Levi leaves behind numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, bandmates, life-long friends, and his new-found Loner family (LFFL). May the fish always be biting, the hogs always sound good, and the jams always be yours. See you on the other side.

Memorial services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, December 13, 2015 in the auditorium of Westville High School located at 500 Chincapin St., Westville, OK.
