Kenwick David Cook, 55, was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at St. Luke’s Hospital on March 17, 1967. He lost his life in a car accident near Ponca City, Oklahoma on June 17, 2022.
He is survived by his son Kaden Wayne Cook, 19, of Bartlesville; his parents, Kathy and Victor Cook, of Bartlesville; his sister, Karli (Cook) Dutta, and husband Eamon Dutta of Atlanta, Georgia; his brother Kory Cook of San Antonio, Texas; his nephew Keegan Dutta of Atlanta, Georgie; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was proceeded in death by both sets of grandparents, Kenneth and Norma DeBont of Keswick, Iowa; and David and Deloris Cook of Peoria, Illinois.
In his early life, Kenwick lived in several Iowa towns and Kirksville, Missouri, before moving to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1982. He graduated from Bartlesville Highschool in 1985 and began managing a movie theater in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and then Muskogee, Oklahoma before returning to Bartlesville, where he became a certified optician and worked in his father’s business, Professional Optical Inc., for 30 years. Kenwick enjoyed music, acting, filming, and painting. He started acting in Iowa and continued in high school plays and later Bartlesville Community Theater. He worked on movies, including, The Bounty Hunter, UHF, and Killers of the Flower Moon. His latest project as an extra on the new Sylvester Stallone TV show, “Tulsa King”. He had a band with his buddies in high school and continued playing his guitar. Whenever you saw Kenwick, he usually had his movie camera in hand ready to film.
Kenwick loved his family and many friends and will be dearly missed by everyone.
