Donna Lou (Welch) Cook
September 4, 1952 ~ September 27, 2023

Donna Lou Cook 71, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, was born on September 4, 1952, in Ralls, Texas to John Authur and Lydia Mae (Dunham) Welch. She died Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in Thackerville.

Donna worked as a receptionist at NASA, and while living in Houston, she loved to enter Bar-B-Q cookoffs and would often be declared the winner. She loved to cook for others. For several years, Donna volunteered in the kitchen at the Senior Citizens Center feeding those who visited the center. She loved going to Fredericksburg, Texas and was a member of the VFW and the Eagles.

Donna married Richard Lee Cook in December 1993 in Houston. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2019.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents and husband; sons, B.J. Liddell and Jackie Liddell; and brothers, Danny Welch and Herb Welch.

Those left to cherish Donna's memory are her son, Robert Liddell and wife Chasity of Thackerville; daughters, LaDonna Liddell of Marietta and Cynthia Cook and husband Brent of Fort Smith; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Welch of Thackerville; sister, Dorothy Roberts and husband Richard of Wichita Falls, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 30 at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Brett Alberda officiating.
