Wallace H. Connolly Jr., age 74, of Lawton passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at his residence.
Wallace was born on November 8, 1943 in Highland Park, Michigan to Wallace H. Sr. and Eva C. (Porcaro) Connolly. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1961 and proudly served his country for over five years before being honorably discharged in 1966. While in the Army, Wallace received numerous awards, medals and commendations. On February 14, 1962, he married Mary Brister. He worked at Fort Sill doing marketing, advertising and publicity and owned and operated Sun Signs from 1982 until his passing. In his free time, he enjoyed painting, drawing, photography and riding his motorcycle.
Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Connolly; his parents, Wallace and Eva Connolly Sr., one brother, Larry Connolly and one grandson, Christopher Connolly,
Wallace is survived by two daughters, Lorie Rowland of Lawton and Stephanie Wolfenbarger and husband John of Lawton; one son, Jeffrey Connolly of Venita, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Kristen Justice of Lawton, Quincy Wolfenbarger of Elgin, Zack Kerekis of Dallas and Shawn Connolly of Colorado; two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Trace; two sisters, Ann Baker and Peggy Willie both of Michigan; one brother Alan Connolly of Michigan and special friends, Johnny Rowland and Brian McCabe along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
