Dwight Conn

Dwight Conn
September 6, 1934 ~ August 30, 2020

Dwight Conn was called home on August 30, 2020 at 9:45 P.M. Dwight was born to Daniel and Maud Conn on September 6, 1934, in Lexington, Oklahoma. On September 9, 1960, Dwight married the love of his life, LaNora Murrah Conn.

Dwight is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, LaNora Conn, 2 granddaughters, Tiffany Conn Robbins, and husband Dillan Robbins, and Taylor Conn Madden, and husband Jacob Madden. He is also survived by 1 sister, Mary, 1 brother, Joe, and many nieces and nephews.

Dwight was preceded in death by his 2 sons, Russell and Curtis Conn, 1 brother, Jasper Conn, and 3 sisters, Joy, Minnie, and Lavada.

Dwight grew up in Lexington, Oklahoma, and he attended Lexington Public Schools. Dwight joined the military at the age of 16, during the Korean war. He was a jack of all trades. He worked as a plumber, welder, and carpenter throughout his lifetime. He had many hobbies, but he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and team roping the most. Dwight loved to laugh and play pranks on people, especially his wife. He was mischievous from a young age. He also loved to spend time with his granddaughters teaching them the art of hunting and fishing, and they both enjoyed sharing a birthday with their grandpa. Dwight lived in the moment with all his energy, and he encouraged everyone around him to do the same.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Humanity Hospice for all of the excellent care they provided to Dwight over the last few weeks. As we say goodbye, we need to remember that goodbye is not forever. We love you, and we will miss you!
